HarmonyOS NEXT specifications
HarmonyOS 5 is a proprietary distributed operating system developed by Huawei that succeeded the similarly named HarmonyOS, with the main difference being that the "NEXT" operating system supports only HarmonyOS native apps. Unlike Android-based HarmonyOS versions 1 to 4 (2019–2024) and the global EMUI operating system, the Next version does not include the Android AOSP core and is incompatible with Android applications.
